In PokéBonk, Pokémon battles work a little differently from the usual RPG. You pick a starter, such as Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle, and head into a 3D arena where wild Pokémon keep coming. Your partner handles attacks automatically, leaving you free to dodge enemies, explore the area, and collect experience.

How to Play

Move First, Fight Along the Way

You don't need to stop and attack every enemy yourself. Keep moving while your Pokémon fights, especially when a crowd starts closing in. Experience dropped during battles helps you level up. Each level gives you upgrade choices, so think about what your current run needs. More damage can clear enemies faster, while better stats may help you survive when the arena gets crowded.

Jumping and sliding can help you get out of tight spots. You can also use your Ultimate when a fight becomes difficult. Don't wait until you're completely surrounded to look for an escape route.

Find New Pokémon

Starting with one Pokémon doesn't mean you have to stick with it forever. League challenges let you unlock more creatures, and eligible Pokémon can be captured during runs. Trying another partner can change how you approach the next attempt.

There is also a reason to return to the Lab between runs. Stardust can be spent on permanent upgrades, giving you extra improvements that carry into future attempts. If a run ends early, you can still work toward making the next one easier.

Game Experience

The controls are straightforward, but surviving for longer takes practice. You have to watch where enemies are gathering while deciding which upgrades are worth taking. With different Pokémon to unlock and skills to combine, each run gives you another chance to test a new setup.

  • Space: Jump

Pick a starter and see how long you can last against the incoming hordes. Collect upgrades, experiment with different Pokémon, and spend your Stardust wisely between runs.
