Released in October 2025, Cowboy Safari mixes running, chasing, and zoo-building into one surprising little game.

Cowboy Safari blends endless running with animal capture and light zoo management. Runs occur across varied terrain where timing, balance, and lane control determine success. Captured animals are delivered to a floating Sky Zoo, where coins convert into unlocks and habitat upgrades. The design favors short, repeatable sessions with incremental progression.

Gameplay overview

Each run starts with an automatic forward movement. Animals appear ahead with predictable but varied patterns depending on biome. A timed lasso connects the capture mechanic to a short mounted sequence: once mounted, the animal must be balanced until it slows. Obstacles such as rocks, fences, and pits require lateral movement and early anticipation. Sessions reward steady control over frantic input.

How to play

Actions are minimal but timing-critical. The run loop follows: spot target → lasso → mount → deliver → collect reward. Maintaining position on the animal and avoiding obstacles during the mounted phase yields higher rewards and rarer captures. Random coin pickups appear along routes; collecting them funds zoo expansion and equipment upgrades.

Controls

  • Spacebar — jump and throw lasso

  • Hold Spacebar — remain mounted on the animal

  • Left / Right arrows — move sideways to dodge obstacles
Inputs should be applied slightly before hazards appear to account for animation and movement lag.

Taming and capture mechanics

A successful capture depends on lasso timing and balance checks during the mounted interval. Different species impose different balance windows: smaller animals allow longer mounted time; larger animals require rapid micro-adjustments. Failure to meet balance thresholds results in a dismount and lost opportunity.

Progression & features

Captured animals contribute to the Sky Zoo, unlocking habitats and passive bonuses. Upgrade paths include lasso responsiveness, mount stability, and coin multipliers. Biome progression unlocks new species and alters obstacle density. The overall loop is designed to scale difficulty while preserving short-session play: early runs teach timing; later runs test stamina and precision.
