Undead Invasion – Build, React, and Don’t Let the Line Break

Undead Invasion is a side-scrolling survival shooter with strong tower-defense elements, playable directly in the browser.. Each session is reviewed for playability, and performance is monitored to keep controls responsive during heavy waves.

This is a side-scrolling defense shooter. You don’t explore. You hold position, build structures, upgrade weapons, and survive as long as your setup allows.

The Core Loop

Every run follows a clear rhythm: fight → earn → upgrade → repeat.

Enemies arrive in waves from the side of the screen. When a wave ends, you use the resources you earned to strengthen your position. That might mean:

  • buying a new weapon

  • repairing or building barricades

  • unlocking upgrades

Once the next wave starts, there is no pause. If your setup is weak, you will feel it immediately.

Controls at a Glance

  • Click – Shoot

  • Q – Switch weapon

  • E – Knife attack

  • Numpad 1 – Throw bomb

  • Fence Icon – Build structures

  • R – Reload

  • Spacebar – Kick

The controls are instant. There is no delay, so hesitation costs you space.

How to Avoid Getting Overrun

  • Build before you need to. Waiting until enemies reach you is too late.

  • Reload during calm moments. Empty magazines in pressure waves are dangerous.

  • Use bombs to reset space. Don’t waste them on single enemies.

  • Upgrade steadily. Big jumps are riskier than consistent improvement.

What Makes Each Run Different

  • Randomized upgrades change your options

  • Weapon availability shifts your strategy

  • Enemy composition forces adaptation

  • Resource flow affects how aggressive you can be

No two runs play exactly the same, even with similar choices.

How It Feels to Play

Undead Invasion starts controlled, almost relaxed. Then the flow tightens. Enemies stack, your screen fills, and decisions have to be fast. When defenses fail, it’s sudden. One gap is enough.

The tension comes from knowing you are always one mistake away from collapse. That pressure keeps you focused. Short sessions work well, but longer runs become intense as the waves grow heavier.
