Dig Out of Prison is a casual puzzle game about escaping from jail. You play as a prisoner who claims to be innocent and decides the only way out is to dig a tunnel beneath the cell. The game is simple but tense because you must work quietly and avoid the guard’s inspections. With only a spoon and some patience, you slowly turn a small hole under the carpet into a possible path to freedom.

Life Inside the Cell and the First Steps

Your entire plan starts in a tiny prison room. Lift the carpet and you will find the spot where digging begins. The spoon acts like a shovel, letting you remove small pieces of dirt from the ground.

As you dig deeper, you sometimes discover hidden objects. These items are useful because they can be sold later. But digging also creates problems. Dirt piles up in the room, and if the guard walks in while everything is uncovered, the escape attempt will fail.

Before the guard arrives, you must hide all signs of digging. Put the carpet back over the hole, flush the dirt in the toilet, and hide the spoon under the bed. Getting used to this routine is the key to surviving each day.

Selling Items and Improving Your Chances

Objects found underground can be placed on the bench in your cell. When the guard visits, you can sell them to earn prison money. Later, other prisoners may offer upgrades when the guard is gone.

These upgrades help you dig faster or manage energy better. You can also spend money inside your cell to recover energy before continuing the tunnel.

Game Experience and Helpful Tips

Clicks dig steady—items pop exciting, footsteps near panic. Early days easy uncovers. Later patrols tight—close calls rush, safe flush relief.  A good strategy is to dig only for a short time, then clean the room before the guard appears. Staying careful is far more effective than digging too fast and getting caught.
