Shady Cats – Don't Let the Shadow Catch You
Going after a fish sounds easy until something starts copying your every move. That's the trouble in Shady Cats. You guide a little cat across platforms, picking up fish while a shadow retraces your movements. It may seem harmless at first, but one careless detour can leave you with very little room to escape.
The Trick Is Knowing When to Move
Most of the time, you'll be moving between platforms to reach the next fish. The left and right keys handle your direction, while jumping helps you cross gaps and reach different spots. The tricky part is deciding where to go. A fish on the other side of the platform might look tempting, but turning around to grab it can make your situation worse.
The shadow doesn't choose its own route. It follows what your cat has already done. That means a jump or a sudden change of direction can come back to trouble you. Instead of making random movements, try to keep your route simple. Look ahead, decide which fish are worth collecting, and avoid doubling back without a good reason.
More Shadows, Less Room to Relax
Surviving for a while is manageable, but the game gets harder when additional shadows enter the chase. Platforms that once felt safe can become awkward places to stand. You may have to leave a fish behind rather than risk getting caught.
There are two modes to explore. Normal is a sensible starting point if you're still learning how the shadow follows you. Crazy is there when you want a tougher run and a bigger test of your reactions.
Controls
Left Arrow: Move left.
Right Arrow: Move right.
Up Arrow / Spacebar: Jump.
A Few Fish Are Better Than a Short Run
It's tempting to chase every fish, especially when one is just a few steps away. But Shady Cats is not about collecting everything in a single attempt. Learn how the shadow moves, avoid unnecessary turns, and take the safer route when things get crowded. A longer run gives you more chances to collect fish.
