Handling Ramps and Rough Ground

Not every bump needs a jump. On smaller hills and downhill sections, pumping helps the bike maintain speed. Save your jumps for the bigger obstacles, and pay attention to how the bike moves after each landing.
Tricks Are Fun, but Landing Matters
Backflips add another challenge to the race. Look for a suitable ramp, get enough height, and give yourself time to complete the rotation. A trick that ends with a bad landing can ruin an otherwise good run. It is better to finish a race cleanly than risk the lead for an unnecessary stunt.
Upgrade Your Bike Before Tougher Races
Racing earns rewards that you can put toward bike upgrades. Speed helps on open stretches, while better pumping and jumping abilities are useful on uneven tracks. You can also unlock other bikes and change your rider's appearance.
You don't have to upgrade everything at once. Focus on the abilities that give you trouble during races, then try the improved setup on the next course.
