Duo Defense is a browser-based arcade zombie defense game that combines survival action with a mechanic inspired by Ozgames. Instead of shooting directly at enemies, two heroes stand on opposite sides of the battlefield and keep a projectile bouncing between them to eliminate incoming zombies.
The first few waves feel manageable. Zombies approach slowly, and keeping the projectile in play seems easy enough. That changes quickly.
Every successful return increases the projectile's speed. Before long, the battle becomes less about the zombies and more about tracking a projectile that refuses to slow down. Missing a single hit ends the run immediately, even if hundreds of enemies have already been defeated.
This simple idea creates constant tension. The battlefield can look completely under control one second and turn into chaos the next.
Defeated zombies occasionally leave behind useful bonuses. Some upgrades make survival much easier, while others add even more unpredictability.
The multi-ball upgrade creates additional projectiles that can wipe out large groups of enemies. It also makes the screen much harder to follow. More damage comes with more confusion.
When zombie numbers start getting out of hand, blizzard abilities can remove large clusters instantly. These upgrades often create enough breathing room to survive another wave.
Campaign stages introduce new challenges gradually and eventually lead to boss encounters. Endless mode takes a different approach. There is no finish line, only faster projectiles and larger zombie crowds.
Most high-score attempts happen here because every wave pushes reaction speed a little further.
Duo Defense turns a simple bouncing projectile into a surprisingly stressful survival challenge. The longer a run lasts, the harder it becomes to keep everything under control, which makes every successful wave feel earned.
